Smartplanes participated in the UAS-Nordic 2010 conference held in Oslo Nov 24. We presented the PAMS concept and our safety-driven approach that has enabled operation in non-segregated airspace. The presentation can be downloaded from the UAS-Norway website . The latest version of the SmartOne aircraft was on display and generated a lot of attention.

PAMS study on biofuel

Bjurholm forest mapping

A production forest area of 5 square kilometres was mapped by the Swedish Forest Agency on behalf of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences for a scientific research project. Durham University has latest weeks performed at successful project with PAMS at Svalbard. It included several flights in arctic conditions with landings sometimes needed to be done in rocky terrain and on glaciers.
