Radio tracking system tested A new radio tracking system for recovering downed aircraft is being tested. Preliminary test shows tracking possible up to 2 km.

Smartplanes Personal Aerial Mapping System PAMS was used to map this golfcourse in Northern Sweden. A high resolution orthophoto mosaic and precise surface model was derived from 7 flighs generating over 1400 photos. Swalöf Weibull is an international plant breeding and seed company. They have tested the SmartOne for monitoring their test sites. The flights was flown with a CIR camera.

Test flights for Botniabanan AB Smartplanes flew a buildning site where the railway is to cross a small stream. The site was choosen because of the large differnces in topography. A 500 m by 500 m block was photographed and processed with the mosaic software to 10 cm resolution.

The swedish aviation authorities has extended SmartOnes area of operations so now we are allowed to fly country wide.

 

Hardware + Software = PAMS First test of the complete PAMS concept was done in Stuttgart. Smartplane SmartOne equipt with autopilot for autonomus flight and PIEneerings lates version of the mosaic software. Map correct mosics was generated with the prototyp system.
